Defensive Pistol (ACPDL)

The Allen County Practical Defense League ( ACPDL ) was formed in 1978 from a group devoted to the advancement of defensive pistol shooting. Defensive shooting is that form of shooting that simulates, as safely as possible, the conditions under which heavy duty firearms are intended to be used, and conducted so that the relative skill of the shooter may be determined.  While we predominantly shoot pistols from concealed carry, we also shoot long guns

Defensive Pistol Matches are usually held the first Saturday of each month, in the heat, cold, rain, snow or sleet.  Defensive Long Gun matches ( Shotgun, rifle, precision rifle, three gun ) are also scheduled at this fine facility and elsewhere.  Although most of our members are long time FWRR members, it is not a requirement.  We welcome individuals of good character.   We do, however, REQUIRE interested parties to observe at least one match before shooting with us.  If you would like to see what we do, please bring appropriate eye and ear protection and introduce yourself to one of the Board members.
